Hello, I'm John Seffker, Senior Partner & Broker Associate at DPP Real Estate | Compass. With a lifelong passion for art, architecture and real estate, I bring a unique blend of expertise to my clients.

Roots

Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and raised in Wisconsin and Florida, I fell in love with Los Angeles and have proudly called it home since 1991. My father was an award-winning chef and culinary master, my mother a phenomenal seamstress and inspirational artist. Among other things, they taught me how to love, to appreciate what we have and the company that we keep. I take pride in my Midwestern work ethic, which I combine with a passion and deep appreciation for art and architecture.

The early years

I cut my teeth in real estate working alongside a prominent REO broker in the early '90s, where I gained invaluable experience selling a wide variety of properties. That experience let me move into professionally advising and representing sellers and buyers of residential and commercial real estate.

How I work

Over the years I have sold properties all over California, from the coast to the desert, mountain resorts and wine country. I have also consulted on and facilitated transactions across the United States and internationally, working with trusted colleagues around the world.
