History
How La Cañada Flintridge came to be.
- 1843
Rancho La Cañada is granted by the Mexican government.
- 1875
Jacob Lanterman and Adolphus Williams buy the rancho.
- 1920s
Senator Frank P. Flint develops Flintridge on the hills above the Arroyo.
- 1936
Rocket experiments in the Arroyo Seco lead to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
- 1976
La Cañada and Flintridge incorporate as one city.
