History
How Eagle Rock came to be.
- 1880s
Eagle Rock is a farming valley on former Rancho San Rafael land.
- 1911
Eagle Rock incorporates as a city.
- 1914
Occidental College moves to its Eagle Rock campus, later planned by architect Myron Hunt.
- 1923
Eagle Rock joins the City of Los Angeles.
- 1953
Richard Neutra designs the Eagle Rock Recreation Center.
